Woman Brutally Raped By Man Released From Jail Hours Earlier

While a woman was walking her dogs in her suburban Los Angeles neighborhood, she was attacked by a suspect released from prison a few hours earlier. Believing she would not survive, the courageous woman made sure her attacker would never forget her.

A woman who survived a brutal rape and assault is sharing her horrific story to serve as a warning to other women. Marissa Young was walking her two 13-year-old dogs late at night in the Torrance neighborhood of Los Angeles. She had just finished work at a nearby restaurant.

While she was walking near the Nova Community Church, a man attacked Marissa from behind. “I was tackled from behind, I didn’t hear anything,” she said. KTLA. “I didn’t have headphones on, I wasn’t looking at my phone, I was just walking straight towards my destination.”

The man forced her to the ground and began beating and raping Marissa. “I’m being raped!” I’m being killed! she shouted. “I got upset and kept trying to fight this person,” she said. “At one point he put me on my back, with his fingers around my neck, and he held me real close here and choked me, and kind of let me know that ‘I ‘I’m in control – if you don’t stop yelling and screaming.’ , I’m going to kill you.’”

“I fought like crazy – I did everything to get rid of this person,” Marissa said. “I bit his fingers, I tried to push him away.” She then detailed what happened next. “He asked me – well told me – to give him oral sex, which meant I bit his penis as hard as I could – to try to bite him in the hope that he would ‘ran away,’ she explained.

“It didn’t come off – it just hurt [his penis] severely – it just made him angry and angry. He beat me even more severely. He was able to continue the rape even though he was seriously injured in doing so,” Marissa added. “This person punched me in the face, with closed fists, at least 15 to 20 times,” she said of the brutal attack.

The brutal sexual assault lasted 30 agonizing minutes. “My nose is broken in four different places, and this bone was broken here [she points to her upper cheek area]. You can still see a lot of swelling on my face,” Marissa said. “It’s a nightmare, just let me wake up from it.” For some reason he decided not to kill me and said, “You can go now,” and he showed me my keys in the grass.

Bloodied sexual assault survivor was naked from the waist down. She ran to a nearby house – where she had to persuade the resident to let her in and call 911. The attack left Marissa toothless and suffering from broken bones, deep bruises and emotional scars. She was left partially blind for about a month after the horrific attack. His horrific injuries required five surgeries.

The alleged attacker was Darrell Waters, 46, described as a local homeless man. Police said Waters had just been released days earlier for illegal possession of a dagger. He was arrested by police within 36 hours of the attack on Marissa Young. Waters was charged with one count of forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and sexual penetration by use of force.

Marissa Young expressed anger that the suspect was released from prison so soon after his previous arrest. “It’s horrible to think that they detained this man with a huge knife taken from him, which is illegal, and he was released the next day even though he had a criminal record,” he said. -she declared. KTLA. “Once something like that happens to you, it kind of changes your mind about what the laws should be.”

His friends started a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the cost of living and medical bills. “She is the brightest, most brilliant person I know,” her friend Debbie wrote. “Small in stature but big in personality, she is kind, compassionate, loving and accepting of others, and is also a fierce little pocket full of dynamite. In short, she is a beautiful woman with a bright future who was scheduled to start nursing school in the fall.
